TruBamboo LLC Partners with Chef Ming Tsai
East-West Chef Ming Tsai and TruBamboo LLC Promote Line of Bamboo Cutting Boards

West Palm Beach , FL., May 10, 2005 – TruBamboo LLC announced today that the company has partnered with Emmy Award-winning Chef Ming Tsai to promote its line of bamboo cutting boards.
Chef Tsai will join the TruBamboo team at the annual Las Vegas Gourmet Housewares Show on Tuesday, May 17, 2005 to introduce retailers to the company. “I am incredibly excited to be working with TruBamboo. The bamboo cutting boards are beautiful but I also love the fact that the material comes from panda-safe forests. These boards combine an ancient eastern material with modern manufacturing and design processes which is perfectly in line with my east/west lifestyle.
Employing a newly developed process for refining bamboo into lumber, TruBamboo has developed an ever-expanding product line that showcases this unique grass’ combination of strength and beauty. Charles Norcross, the President of TruBamboo LLC, has specialized in designing and sourcing high quality houseware products for America’s largest retailers for 28 years. For him, the decision to form a relationship with Chef Tsai was simple: “The moment we met Ming, we knew he would be the perfect ambassador for TruBamboo. Since Chef Ming Tsai opened the doors to his east-west bistro, Blue Ginger,in February 1998, Ming and his restaurant have been honored with numerous accolades including the James Beard award for the “2002 Best Chef Northeast” and “2 nd Most Popular Boston Restaurant” by the Zagat Restaurant Guide. Ming, an Emmy Award-winner, is the current host of public television’s cooking show “Simply Ming” and one of three celebrity judges on the new PBS ‘reality’ cooking show “Cooking Under Fire.” He began cooking for television audiences on the Food Network, where he was the host of “East Meets West, Cooking with Ming Tsai” and “Ming’s Quest”. Ming is also the author of three cookbooks: Blue Ginger, Simply Ming, and Ming’s Master Recipes.
